The Royal Bank is the largest chartered bank in Canada with over 1300 branch and office
building locations across Canada. The bank operates its flagship main London, Ontario
branch in downtown London, located at 383 Richmond Street.
The Goal:
Base building upgrades, new branch and business banking center and renovations to
second floor.
The Royal Bank planned to modernize and upgrade its main London Ontario facilities,
including their branch, and business-banking centre. The centre had to remain in
operations throughout the duration of the upgrades. This involved carefully phasing
the site work with precautions to ensure that all health and safety requirements
were adhered to.
The Results:
Significantly improved image and operational efficiencies for the Bank’s main branch,
business banking center and second floor facilities. Upgraded mechanical systems and
automation controls, delivered on time and under budget.
Working closely with many stakeholders, the principal of Matrix Management Corp.
provided full scope project management and ensured that all the Bank’s objectives were
met. Having to ensure that the facilities remained in operations throughout the duration of
the upgrades, the implementation had to be carefully planned involving careful phasing of
the site work, accounting for all health and safety requirements.
